Remodelled Tasman Library Provides Home to Society’s Collection.

Library head gets the opening ceremony underway of the Tasman District Library’s remodelled building on Saturday 3rd July 2010.

After years of planning and building, the new library provides a much larger research room for the public to research local history. The Society’s collection of printed material (yet to be catalogued) and photographs are stored here. Digitising of the photography collection has begun and can be accessed from this site using the appropriate link.  Click here-  (Note:  Digitisation was completed in 2012)

Cutting the ribbon is a vital task. Here the mayor received willing help from his grandchildren.
