A beginners course- how to start, how to record and introduction to online resources Part 1: Friday 2nd August 10.00am -12.00

Further Steps in Family History
A ”beyond the basics course”, suitable for anyone who has attended one of our previous family history courses, or who has experience with searching online family history resources. In this course we will look at tips and tricks for searching census and BMD records and also explore other resources, including parish records, wills and probates, military and migration records.

Guest Speaker: Kevin Ryan will speak on:
“The Irish Journey: steps in tracing your Irish Ancestors”
Kevin has been researching his Irish ancestors for some years and made a trip to Ireland last year. He will tells us about the pitfalls of researching Irish records, some great tips and has some interesting tales from the Irish Journey. All welcome.
